We plan to provide high speed internet access to every home and business in Los Alamos at an affordable rate.

We began by providing 10Mbits Access in Los Alamos for $35/month plus $0.07 per MegaByte of data transfer, though the 10 Mbits connection only connected to a half-T1 (about 750 Kbits), and now offer rates as low as $21.95/month plus New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax at the Los Alamos rate (see Rates for specifics) for 1.2 Mbits/768 Kbits in groups of 20, to the locations we can reach, with a 15 Mbits connection.

We predicted that it would cost about $10 Million to provide fiber internet access to every home in Los Alamos and take a couple of years to build out service to all areas (see Locations for existing service areas) back in the year 2000. We never had anything near $10 Million, so we haven't grown nearly that much, and inflation raises our estimate to somewhat higher cost, but nowhere near double.
